Contributing to the construction boom: Granada’s onshore team deliver turnkey project for multimillion pound construction group

When Glencoe Plant Services invested in a new purpose-built facility at their site in Bedfordshire, they wanted to work with a company that shares their own ethos of taking on projects from start to finish, making Granada the natural choice.

Glencoe Plant Services is part of Masterson Holdings, a construction group with an annual turnover in excess of £140 million, that offers their customers a complete service from pre-tender budgets through to advanced value engineering and programming. Granada’s capability to take a project from design, through manufacturing to installation and commissioning was a key factor in this latest contract award for the onshore division at GMH.

To provide the new facility with optimum flexibility, Granada’s solution was a crane system comprising of an 80 metre freestanding gantry with two 10 tonne electric overhead cranes, complete with load displays and anti-collision systems.

Martin Maddocks, sales engineer at Granada, comments on the project,
“While the last year has been a difficult one for everyone operating in the pandemic, it’s very encouraging to know that our customers are investing and demonstrating confidence – nowhere more so than in the construction industry. Granada’s onshore division continues to have a busy year, with contracts and new projects for clients across the UK – testament to our team’s expertise and the engineering excellence across the company.”
