Types of swing jib cranes
Free-Standing (Pillar) Jibs
Up to 5,000 kg standard capacity (bespoke higher), outreach to 8 m, full 360° slew. Bolts to a foundation pad — no wall or column needed. Best for open factory floors and workstations away from walls.
Column or Wall-Mounted Jibs
Up to 2,000 kg standard capacity, outreach to 8 m, 180° slew. Mounts to an existing column or wall with no foundation work — ideal when a structural column is nearby and you don't need 360°.
Articulated Jibs
Two-arm design: main arm plus slewing secondary arm. Reaches around obstacles, into machines and under suspended services — excellent for confined work cells.
Low Headroom Jibs
Compact hoist arrangement to maximise hook height. Ideal for height-restricted bays, mezzanine areas and low rooflines.
Bespoke & Custom Jibs
Capacities up to 100 t, outreaches up to 20 m. ATEX zones (1, 2, 21, 22), outdoor weather-rated, powered slew, extending and articulated arm options, underbraced or overbraced support tie-rods.

Jib cranes are lifting equipment under LOLER and must be thoroughly examined by a competent person at least once every 12 months. Our jibs are designed to LOLER, PUWER, BS EN 14985, BS EN 15011 and BS 7121 — and our nationwide team inspects, tests and certifies all makes and models.
