Granada Material Handling action regarding COVID-19

Author:

GMH are managing how we best respond to the COVID-19 virus outbreak; its impact on our staff, our customers and our suppliers. Our principal priority is to maintain the safety and health of staff, customers and suppliers. We have therefore implemented strict safety measures and are following all government advice to ensure we can operate safely while maintaining the level of service our customers require, with the fantastic support and cooperation of all the team at Granada.

Our contingency plan is intended to minimise disruption to our business and that of our customers. We have implemented measures to protect our staff and customers, to help ensure that we can safely deliver the service our customers require during this difficult time.

  • All office-based staff have been set-up for home working since mid-March so customers’ requirements are being met, with sales, finance, projects and design staff all available to our customers;
  • Workshop staff teams have been reorganised to ensure compliance with strict guidelines regarding safe working and social distancing, with automatic hand sanitiser dispensers installed at the workshop and gloves and masks supplied. For our temporary workshop in Halifax, we have implemented single occupancy traveling to the site and adopted the same social distancing and PPE issue as with the main workshop;
  • For site working, we have updated our award-winning health and safety policies, and risk and method statements have been amended to accommodate social distancing and all government guidelines. These are uploaded to our engineers’ tablets for ease of use.

This is a fast-moving situation and, as such, we shall update as necessary. In the meantime, we thank all our staff for their cooperation and flexibility. If you would like further information, please get in touch. Stay safe, and we thank all our customers, suppliers and distributors for their ongoing support.
