JCB World HQ

JCB is a British multinational manufacturer of equipment for construction, agriculture, waste handling, and demolition, founded in 1945 and based in Rocester, Staffordshire, England.

The challenge

JCB constantly strives to squeeze as much productivity out of its factory space as possible. This leads to frequent re-positioning of workstations that have knock-on effects on the existing infrastructure. JCB operates a very tight window with dedicated shut-downs by the end of which the work has to be complete for production to restart.

The solution

New 2 tonne single-girder crane to feed new production-line robot.

We need to be as nimble as JCB is demanding. We have developed three strategies: provide a new crane, or move, or modify an existing crane. This latter option frequently requires considerable ingenuity from our team. Whatever the challenge, we have always found a solution.
