Distribution deal takes Granada into Taiwan

Author:

Granada has selected KOOKA Technology Corporation as their exclusive distributor for GMH’s patented wind farm davit cranes and ancillary products in the Taiwanese market.

Granada are global leaders in the design, manufacture and supply of offshore lifting and handling equipment, so combining this expertise with KOOKA’s location and extensive knowledge of the offshore wind industry presents a compelling offering for local customers.

Charles Chiu, managing director of KOOKA Technology Corporation comments on the new partnership,
“To assist with contributing to a reduced carbon footprint, KOOKA wants to introduce compliant, reliable products into Taiwan for integration into the booming wind energy sector. Granada Material Handling provides some of the best davit cranes in its class and has over 1,600 units installed all over the world, across the offshore wind sector. Hence, teaming up with them will allow us to better serve the Taiwanese market.”

KOOKA is currently headquartered in the centre of Taipei City and plans to expand its service and support radius to better cover the west coast, where most on- and offshore wind farms are located, and to serve Granada customers here.

Mark Sidwell, managing director at GMH, comments,
“Expanding Granada’s geographical reach with this new relationship is a great development for our company and our dedicated, expert staff. The partnership will help further facilitate the growth of Taiwan’s burgeoning wind energy sector.”

Granada will now work very closely with KOOKA on a range of ongoing bids to ensure the Taiwanese projects benefit from this collaboration between two leaders in their fields.
