Where Round Slings Are The Right Choice

Round slings are the softest, lightest, lowest-cost option in our sling range. Their endless polyester construction gives them particular strengths that webbing and chain can’t match.

Soft, Non-Marking Contact

The polyester jacket won’t scratch or scuff polished, painted or finished loads — ideal for fabricated parts going to assembly, machined components, or anything with a finished surface.

Conforms To The Load

The endless loop wraps and grips around irregular castings, awkward shapes and bulky geometry where a flat or rigid sling won’t bed in properly.

Light & Easy To Handle

Operators can handle them all day without fatigue. Folds up small for storage on shadow boards or in toolboxes — a 5-tonne round sling weighs a fraction of its chain equivalent.

Round vs Webbing vs Chain

The three sling types overlap in capacity but suit very different jobs. Round slings are the right choice when contact-marking, load shape or operator handling matters more than heat or abrasion resistance:

LOLER, Certification & What’s Included

Slings are classified as lifting accessories under LOLER — that means they need a thorough examination by a competent person at least every 6 months, regardless of how often they’re used. Every sling we supply ships ready for that, with documentation that satisfies your auditor:

  • Test certificate — supplied with every sling, traceable serial number
  • Identification label — date of manufacture, serial number, safe working load
  • 6-monthly LOLER thorough examination — we do these on-site or you can post them in
  • Sling replacement service — when slings reach end-of-life, we replace and dispose of the old certified equipment correctly
  • Bespoke configurations — non-standard lengths, capacities or fittings via our local supplier network — usually 1–2 weeks
