Granada bring world-leading vacuum lifting and handling products to the UK in partnership with Fezer

Author:

Fezer have been designing and producing lifting equipment since 1928, incorporating vacuum technology in 1961, and the company’s innovation and product excellence is recognised worldwide. As the sole UK partner for Fezer, Granada now offer customers an even greater range of efficient, economical and ergonomic lifting and handling solutions, to simplify and increase the safety of a whole host of production processes.

Granada customers such as domestic and commercial heating specialists Ideal Boilers and Johnson Matthey, global leaders in sustainable technology, are already benefitting from the specification and installation of Fezer’s compact handing devices, including the range of vacuum tube lifters. The Tube Lifter VacuPowerlift enables an operator to move and handle loads of up to 200kg singlehanded and, supported by powerful pumps and blowers, lifting speeds can be up to 50m/min. Used in many industries, worldwide, the VacuPowerlift brings increased efficiency while helping to ensure greater safety in the workplace. Typical uses include: packing and logistics of cardboard boxes; window and solar industry use for safer handling of glass; wood, plastic and metal industries for plate material; construction industries for moving stone and concrete; feeding all kinds of CNC machines, and electronics companies manoeuvring electrical appliances.

For smaller loads, up to 35kg, the VacuQuicklift offers the greatest flexibility with two model options – either for horizontal applications or including a swivel feature. Having just one operating handle, all functions of engagement, lifting, lowering and release are easily controlled. The operator can use their free hand to bring loads into the target position, making their work easier, as well as safer and more ergonomic.

Mark Sidwell, managing director at Granada, explains the rationale behind the partnership with Fezer,
“For Granada, this seemed a clear opportunity to ensure that we give our customers the very best, most appropriate solution to their lifting and handling requirements. Fezer’s reputation is second-to-none, so we can be confident that, where we specify and install their products, they will be complementary to our own and meet the standards of quality and efficiency Granada’s customers expect and deserve. Critically, the ergonomic enhancements and the increased safety these products bring to the workplace echo our own commitment to ensuring and maintaining the highest standards of health and safety, with operator comfort and safety at the forefront in any project we undertake at Granada.”
