jon-attfield-smallGranada Material Handling announces the appointment of Jon Attfield, who joins the company at their Airbus site this month as European Aerospace Sales Manager.

Jon joins Granada with a wealth of expertise in aviation and aerospace engineering, contract negotiation and sales, having gained 14 years’ experience with his previous company, Latchways plc, where he was responsible for sales of fall protection equipment to aerospace customers throughout the UK and Europe. While there, he initiated and managed contracts for a range of high-profile clients, including major military and defence partnerships with organisations such as NATO, the RAF and Airbus Military, supporting aircraft maintenance and manufacturing customers from contracting through to supply and ongoing maintenance support. His newly-created role at Granada will focus on expanding GMH’s aerospace offering and developing new areas of the business, across the UK and Europe.

Commenting on his new appointment, Jon said,

“I’m very much looking forward to making a real contribution to the future of Granada’s aerospace business. This is an exciting time for the UK aviation sector, and Granada’s long-established partnerships with key aerospace clients in the UK make them ideally poised to expand. Having joined the company only last week, I’m delighted to be representing Granada at Farnborough International Airshow, where I look forward to meeting clients old and new.”

Jon Hall, Director at Granada, added,

We’ve known Jon for many years, and are pleased to welcome him to Granada. His background and experience will be a great asset to our aerospace team, as we look to grow our business in this sector.”

For more information about Granada’s aerospace expertise talk to us at Farnborough International Airshow, where we’ll be exhibiting with the North West Aerospace Alliance – Hall 1, Stand B140.
