Additional Information

Lenze brakes are known for their reliability, but like any mechanical system, certain components wear over time. Granada Cranes provides repairs and replacements for the most common wear parts and assemblies.

Brake Rotor / Friction Plate (Brake Disc)
The main wear component. Replaced once the friction lining is worn, glazed, or damaged.
Brake Hub
Connects the rotor to the motor shaft. Replaceable if teeth wear or become damaged.
Stator / Armature Assembly
Can be replaced as a complete unit. Coils can sometimes be rewound by specialist services.
Armature Plate
Critical moving part responsible for releasing the brake when energised.
Brake Springs
Provide the fail-safe spring force. Replaceable if tension reduces or a spring breaks.
Rectifiers / Power Modules
Lenze brakes use DC voltage. If the rectifier fails, the brake may not release correctly.
Manual Release Mechanism
Components for manual brake release can be renewed when worn or damaged.
Seals, Dust Covers & Gaskets
Help keep dust, oil, and moisture away from friction components. Replaced as part of
preventative maintenance.

Air Gap Adjustment
As the friction linings wear, the air gap between stator and armature changes. We check
and reset this to ensure reliable brake release and protect the coil.
Torque Adjustment
Certain Lenze models allow mechanical adjustment of braking torque. We can fine-tune
this to suit your crane duty and application.
