All thorough examinations are carried out by our in-house competent persons – qualified engineers with extensive knowledge of crane design, operation, and failure modes. We don’t subcontract inspections to third parties.
Full certification and reports provided same-day in digital format. Clear defect reporting with prioritisation, so you know what needs attention immediately versus what can wait.
Granada has been designing, installing, and inspecting cranes for over four decades. That experience means we understand what to look for and can identify issues others might miss.
When defects are identified, we can quote and carry out repairs immediately. No need to wait for a separate contractor – we get your crane back in service faster.
We track your inspection due dates and send reminders before they’re due. Never miss an inspection deadline again – we manage your compliance calendar for you.
We can work alongside your insurance company’s inspectors or provide examinations that satisfy your insurer’s requirements. Certificates meet all statutory and insurance standards.
A LOLER thorough examination is a statutory inspection carried out by a competent person to assess whether lifting equipment is safe to continue in service. A service (preventative maintenance) involves lubrication, adjustment, and minor repairs to keep equipment running smoothly. Both are important – inspections ensure legal compliance, while servicing extends equipment life and reduces breakdown risk.
Our competent person will document all defects in the report and categorise them by severity. Critical defects that present an immediate safety risk will require the equipment to be taken out of service until rectified. Other defects will be given a timeframe for repair. We can provide quotations for repair work and carry out the repairs for you, followed by re-examination once complete.
Yes, all thorough examinations are documented with full certification that satisfies both LOLER requirements and insurance company requirements. Certificates are provided in digital format same-day and can be printed if required. We can also coordinate with your insurance company’s inspectors if needed.
